TSUN Wins EUPD Top Innovation Award for Its Residential Solar and Storage Ecosystem

TSUN was awarded the EUPD Top Innovation Award on the opening day of Intersolar Europe 2026. The recognition reflects TSUN's residential energy storage ecosystem designed for compact balcony PV installations and the growing need to add storage to existing rooftop solar systems across Europe.

At Booth B4.560, distributors, EPC installers, media and solar creators explored TSUN's storage portfolio, microinverter solutions and smart-meter accessories. The product matrix is built to help partners address practical challenges across supply continuity, rooftop PV retrofit, balcony storage, grid compliance and local installation requirements.

Supply-chain resilience for European energy storage partners

For energy storage distributors and installers, dependable cell supply is as important as product performance. TSUN highlighted its strategic cooperation with Ganfeng Lithium, covering long-term cell supply for its energy storage products and ongoing equity-level collaboration.

According to TSUN, this collaboration is intended to support consistent production planning and reduce delivery uncertainty for overseas channel partners as demand for residential solar storage continues to expand.

AC-coupled storage for existing rooftop PV systems

Europe's installed base of rooftop solar creates a major retrofit opportunity: many homeowners want to increase self-consumption without replacing their original PV array. TSUN's flagship MAU5000 Elite AC-coupled storage system is TÜV Nord certified for German grid compliance and is available in two versions: a 3.6 kW plug-and-play option for household self-installation and a 6 kW professional version for EPC projects.

The system supports modular capacity expansion and the parallel use of new and existing batteries, helping homeowners expand storage over time. TSUN also introduced the MAU4000eLITE, MAU5000 and MAU7200 AC-coupled series for applications ranging from small residential systems to light-commercial retrofits.

Combined with TSUN's full-channel anti-export technology, co-developed with Zhentai Energy, the AC-coupled range is designed to support zero-export requirements without rewiring the original PV strings.

Balcony solar storage built for apartments and rental homes

Balcony PV is one of Europe's most accessible solar formats, particularly for apartments and rental homes with limited roof access. TSUN showcased a full balcony storage lineup including the MSU4000Elite, MH2000 + DB2000Lite, MX800Lite with SolarCan and MSU2000Elite. The range has received full-machine safety certification from Bureau Veritas.

TSUN's flagship balcony storage solution uses an integrated, full die-cast compact housing for space-constrained balconies. Across the series, key capabilities include up to 5,000 W PV input, 10,000-cycle battery cells, a smart battery optimizer, AI energy management, PV-first power bypass, dynamic-tariff matching and flexible parallel expansion.

The portfolio includes lightweight entry-level kits, plug-and-play hybrid microinverter systems compatible with a range of lithium batteries, and higher-power configurations for households with larger energy needs.

Microinverters and smart meters complete the ecosystem

TSUN's microinverter portfolio is designed for diverse European installation environments, with daisy-chain, balcony wiring and trunk-cable connection options. These configurations can support detached rooftops, enclosed balconies and multi-unit residential buildings while integrating with TSUN balcony and AC-coupled storage systems.

For accurate grid measurement and zero-export control, TSUN demonstrated plug-and-play accessories compatible with popular single-phase and three-phase smart meters, including Projoy, Shelly, Echotracker, P1 Reader and SMeter. WiFi and RS485 communication support helps installers collect real-time grid data, optimize self-consumption and reduce commissioning complexity.
