Brazil's solar energy sector is experiencing rapid growth and rising demand for technologies that combine efficiency, safety, and reliable after-sales support. In this context, TSUNESS, a manufacturer specializing in microinverters, stands out with a clear proposition: to deliver more energy generation, enhanced safety, and closer customer service for the Brazilian market.

EnergyChannel welcomed Victor Curi Segato, Head of LATAM at TSUNESS, to its São Paulo studio for an exclusive interview with journalist Ricardo Honório. The conversation covered everything from the company's factory operations in China to what differentiates the brand in Brazil.

From Startup to Global Reference

Founded in 2019, TSUNESS began with a focus on MLPE (Module-Level Power Electronics) and quickly established its global operations. Despite being a young company, it benefits from the experience of its CEO, Andy Lew — who also founded ProJoy Electric and co-founded OMNI and Everlight, the latter having been acquired by SMA.

Today, TSUNESS exports to more than 30 countries, with 100% in-house production and advanced research centers in China. "We are microinverter specialists and have built an infrastructure designed to scale innovation with safety and performance," said Segato.

Innovation as a Daily Practice

TSUNESS maintains a team of over 60 engineers dedicated solely to microinverter development. Among the company's latest launches are 3.3 kW models with the capacity to support up to six modules — a unique feature that enhances competitiveness for larger-scale projects.

"Microinverters are no longer just a solution for residential rooftops. Today, we see commercial and industrial plants with dozens or even hundreds of units in operation," Segato explained.

The company also announced its official entry into the energy storage market, with its own batteries and hybrid microinverters, strengthening its position as a complete provider of smart solar solutions.

Safety and Performance at the Core

TSUNESS's key value proposition lies in electrical safety and energy optimization. With an operating voltage below 60 V, the brand's microinverters meet ABNT safety standards (NBR 17903) and do not require the use of Rapid Shutdown Devices (RSD), which are mandatory in systems operating above 720 V.

In addition, each module is equipped with its own MPPT, ensuring higher efficiency in scenarios with shading, dirt, or panel degradation. "With microinverters, performance is optimized on a module-by-module basis, and the system is more resilient," he emphasized.

Local Technical Support and Realistic Warranty

One of TSUNESS's greatest differentiators in Brazil is its local and direct technical support. With a team based in Belo Horizonte, the company offers assistance via WhatsApp, email, and phone — focused on fast response and close relationships with installers.

In June alone, TSUNESS recorded over 600 technical requests, achieving 97% customer satisfaction. "We don't repair products. In warranty cases, we send a brand-new unit through our distributor, quickly," Segato assured.

The 15-year warranty offered for microinverters sold in Brazil further demonstrates the company's commitment to quality without exaggerated promises. "We prefer to offer what we can responsibly deliver. Offering a 25-year warranty is just marketing that can't be technically supported," he stated.

Competitive Pricing and Accessible Solutions

According to the executive, improvements in production scale and engineering processes have enabled TSUNESS to offer microinverters at more accessible prices — even lower than many imported string inverter models. "Today, we offer 3 kW microinverters at a lower cost than equivalent string inverters. Plus, installation is easier and long-term performance gains make a real difference," he explained.

The company's philosophy of providing affordable — accessible and efficient — solutions guides its entire strategy for Latin America.
