Easy Solar Kit (with microinverter)

Table of contents
As solar rooftops scale up in size and complexity, ensuring stable, reliable communication between devices becomes a growing challenge. Dead zones, weak router signals, and disjointed strings can severely compromise performance — especially when relying on traditional one-to-one Wi-Fi setups.
To solve this, TSUN has re-engineered the way microinverters connect and communicate, introducing a new generation of Wi-Fi Mesh networking paired with RS 485 Smart Metering options for grid compliance and control.
Most microinverter systems rely on each unit sending data directly to a central gateway or router. But in real-world installations — such as long rooftop rows, multiple floors, or Wi-Fi-challenged environments — this structure is easily disrupted.
TSUN's new Wi-Fi Mesh architecture transforms the communication model by allowing microinverters to form a multi-hop, relay-based mesh network. Instead of every inverter needing a direct router connection, only the first-level node connects directly — others forward their data hop-by-hop via neighboring devices.
Benefits at a glance:
● Extended coverage — Ideal for large rooftops, multi-story buildings, and balcony arrays
● Self-healing topology — The network automatically re-routes signals if a node goes offline
● No additional hardware — No need for external repeaters or boosters
● Greater reliability — Stable data transmission even with weak or distant Wi-Fi signals
By eliminating the single-point-of-failure model, TSUN's Mesh system creates built-in redundancy. Communication remains intact even if certain nodes drop offline or become unreachable.
In TSUN's Mesh topology:
● Only one layer of devices (Level 1) needs to connect directly to the router.
● Secondary and tertiary inverters communicate via upstream peers, using multi-level relay transmission.
● This effectively breaks traditional limitations of Wi-Fi distance and router capacity, especially for 2.4GHz networks where signal loss is common over long distances or across floors.
Each inverter acts as both a communication node and a repeater — forming a chain-like structure without the need for external repeaters or signal amplifiers. Whether your system has 4, 16, or 30+ microinverters, TSUN’s Mesh ensures stable connectivity across a wider deployment area.
Unlike traditional point-to-point or hub-and-spoke networks, TSUN's Wi-Fi Mesh:
● Supports multi-level hop communication, allowing inverters to dynamically select the most reliable and efficient data path
● Expands Wi-Fi coverage even in irregular layouts (e.g., rooftops, balconies, or multi-story homes)
● Automatically adjusts when signal strength is weak — connecting to the nearest reliable node and cascading back to the router
This is particularly useful in large residential systems or where microinverters are distributed unevenly across roof zones. Even if one inverter cannot reach the router directly, it can still upload data via its mesh-linked neighbors.
Depending on site complexity and local grid policies, TSUN supports two deployment modes:
A. Wi-Fi Mesh Standalone Mode
● Best for small-to-medium residential systems with available Wi-Fi.Peer-to-peer communication within the mesh
● No additional hardware required
● Plug-and-play installation via App setup
B. Wi-Fi Mesh + RS485 Smart Meter Mode
● Recommended for larger rooftops or countries with export control.Adds a Smart Meter to monitor production and export values
● Ensures grid compliance in Germany, France, Italy, etc.
● Enhances mesh stability and enables export limitation, load control, and diagnostics
💡 Example: A 6kW system across two rooftop levels in Germany with strict export rules — Mesh + Smart Meter ensures signal stability and regulatory compliance.
This isn't just a communications upgrade — it's a foundational shift in solar intelligence.
TSUN's Wi-Fi Mesh + RS485 Smart Metering solution ensures:
● Broader, more reliable communication coverage
● Intelligent, self-optimizing networks
● Simplified O&M and diagnostics
● Seamless grid compliance across regions
From a 300W balcony setup to a 9kW rooftop, TSUN enables every inverter to speak, relay, and adapt — keeping your solar system always connected, always performing.
At TSUN, we don’t just manufacture microinverters — we engineer intelligent solar ecosystems. Our products are designed for global compatibility, fail-safe reliability, and plug-and-play scalability.
